Software Defined Radios
Software Defined Radio is portable and interoperable platform where components that have been traditionally implemented in analog hardware (e.g. mixers, filters, detectors etc) are instead implemented by means of software. Hence, a waveform definition is broad, covering at least layers 1 to 4 that covers entire functions of radio to include transmission frequencies, modulation schemes, voice encoding, error codes etc and not just air interface aspect of radio communication.

Electronic Fuzes
Percussion fuzes detonate the explosive charge when the munition hits the target. The detonation action can be programmed to explode on impact or delayed explosion after impacting. The fuze body is made out of steel for increased reliability when used with high velocity shells in high temperature environments.

Applications
>Artillery ammunition – 130mm, 155mm calibres
Salient Features
>Designed for safety during transportation, usage, storage and firing.
>Armed after 500 milliseconds from launch time
>Safe for use in the muzzle for velocity range of 180 to 1100 m/s and can withstand chamber pressure up to 440 MPa
>Shelf life of minimum 15 years under sheltered storage condition
>Design complies with the guidelines established by MIL-STD-1316D and STANAG 4187

Proximity Fuze
These Fuzes detonate an explosive device automatically when the distance to the target becomes smaller than a predetermined value. They are equipped with two modes of operation i.e. Proximity and Point Detonation Super Quick (PDSQ).
Fuze functioning can be selected between two modes by means of the hand held inductive setter. The setting can be repeatedly programmed to burst at predetermined height in all angles.
The Fuze is highly resistant to electronic countermeasures.
